You know what I'm going to skip this video because just that statement alone about JRR Tolkien and his work is a slap in the face to a man who gave a country he loved that was his home a mythology after its mythology was pretty much

I freely admit I have a major issue with black elves, dwarves, and hobbits, er, sorry Harfoots.

Not because I'm a right-wing racist but because of the following.

Elves come from a land that for thousands of years had no sun, Dwarves are a subterranean race, and Harfoots all originated in the same place so you would never get such wide racial diversity.

They could however have made every single person in the Southern village black and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. It's not a million miles away from Harad and Rhun where canonically 'people of colour' and other ethnicities live.

This was never about Tolkien's world. This was always about 'progressive' propaganda and THE MESSAGE.

Would love to see more videos on the HotD series. Although hated shows (e.g. RoP) get more YT views, eventually a saturation point will be reached with such content. I, myself, am tried of such videos, and would like to see more videos on good shows. Cheers!

The message of "Tolkien is about many people from different groups getting united against evil, thats why we made black elves and dwarfs" FALLS APART for the fact tolkien is based on norse and celtic stuff, thing about white people, not black and brown ones, and the "different groups" are Humans, Elvesm Dwarfs and Hobbits...all based on that mythologies.

They are trying to destroy the context on pro of their racist agenda.

I'm not up to date with all the details about the problematic decisions and policies that guided Amazon in making TROP but I just couldn't bring myself to watch past the first few episodes because 90% of the characters were so unlikeable, ESPECIALLY Galadriel, and the dialogue was laughably poor as were the story choices. Nobody ever surprises you or shows any complexity and depth and so many events are just absurd or silly. The show is embarrassing.

I don't understand one thing. If big wigs knew that the Tolkien fans were angry, they knew about the situation. Why didn't they come out and say something like, "You are going to alienate 100s of millions Tolkien fans. Can your promise me you will get that many and MORE if you use your politics?"
