Hierfür gehe ich Schritt für Schritt durch alle Optionen, werde diese im Detail erläutern und auch einige Tips geben und auf häufige Fehler eingehen. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 FULL SETUP AND LINKS IN DESCRIPTION BELOW ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ (Click 'SHOW MORE'👈🏻 ) How to setup and use Mission Control in iNav to send your fixed wing on an autonomous waypoint mission. I’ve been playing around with this on my AR wing over the last couple of months and it works really well, there are just a few things you need to look out for that will most likely cause you frustration if you don’t watch this video first. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure your plane flies well in an autonomous mode such as RTH before attempting a WP mission. I recommend higher altitude and close range for your earlier tests. Good luck! :D When NOT selecting RTH at end of mission: Tested this and the plane will loiter around the final WP at the altitude you had set for that particular WP. Two things to note or slightly correct from this video: 1: It appears that the target speed may not be used at all in WP missions and it actually uses the 'cruise throttle' you have set for autonomous flying, even though The wiki states: "The mission is defined with waypoints, which have the information about latitude, longitude, height and speed between the waypoints". It's a real shame they have said this in the wiki and added the ability to set the speed per WP because this just causes confusion :/ 2: The nav_wp_safe_distance actually stops you from arming if the first WP is further than your parameter, rather than stopping you from entering WP mode while flying as I suggested. However, there is a request to change to behave in the way that I've detailed: 🤍 The reason I missed this was I accidentally had my nav_extra_arming_safety set to 'OFF' so the check on arm was not taking place. AR Wing Diff ► 🤍 Full WP flight video: coming soon CLI mentioned in this video: -nav_wp_safe_distance = First waypoint in the mission should be closer than this value [cm]. 10,000 (100m) default. Set to 0 to bypass this check. -nav_wp_radius = Waypoint would be considered reached if plane is within this radius. Default 100 = 1m -failsafe_mission = If set to OFF the failsafe procedure won't be triggered and the mission will continue if the FC is in WP (automatic mission) mode ☕️ 👋🏻 Hey, thanks for watching! Whether you're a line of sight pilot or you're trying to set distance records, flight computers are becoming faster, lighter, and cheaper while adding in-flight functionality for whatever type of flying you do. Flight computers can be seriously advantageous in a wide range of missions from land surveys, to aerial photography, and yes even in sport/aerobatic flying as a stabilizer. Unfortunately, the terminology and technology can be a little intimidating if you've never used one of these devices. This video is the first in what may become a series pending feedback in comments to help break down flight computer barriers for those who are interested in incorporating flight computers into their RC experience but are maybe put off a little by all of the acronyms. Setting up iNav 4 - A complete, new set up and installation for fixed wings

This is taken from the perspective of a new plane, or just starting from a full chip erase. I cover the basics, plus a bit more. Made from 3 layers of 1/2 inch insulation foam, tape, gorilla glue, and wood dowel spars. This plane exceeded my expectations and was able to fly for a comfortable 20ish minutes, traveling 12km. After some calculations, I predict that the plane could fly up to 20 km, possibly flying out to an oil rig or something of the sort. Subscribe for more! Leave questions in the comments. Howdy, are you looking for an inexpensive flight controller that sports all the cool features such as stabilization, return to home and an OSD? Well for $45 or less you can have this & MORE. Basically comparable features to the EagleTree Vector on a "shoe-string budget" using iNav. FULL details below, Press SHOW MORE to see them, Matt I have been looking for an inexpensive alternative to the EagleTree Vectors as they cost $238 a pop and I refuse to buy anymore (I have three of them, so you can feel my pain). Good news, I've found a route that works very well and it costs FIVE times less! When I first tried out iNav 6 or more months ago, things didn't go well. My teksumo got smashed into the ground. I was NOT a happy camper as you can imagine. However.... Revisiting iNav in 2017 and several versions later, iNav works brilliantly for fixed wing models. Hence this series. I'm very impressed with the results. Parts Used These are the two required parts for this series. Omnibus Betaflight F4 Flight Controller V1 STM32 F405 MCU Integrated OS 🤍 Ublox NEO-M8N Flight Controller GPS with Protective Shell for PIX PX4 Pixhawk 🤍 The first part is a F3 flight control board which has a OSD built-in and the second part is a GPS unit. You need the GPS module so iNav knows where the model is. I've been using the same module with other boards for months and they work great. They even pick up the Russian GLONASS satellites for more accurate and faster position fixes. Advanced Setup - I have been using another board F4 here 🤍 that has a current sensor on board & a different pinout to the one suggested above. I've personally got a few of these and they're also working well. They do come with the extra complexity of having a whole 3 extra wires and you'll also need a current meter to set the current setting accurately. Note: I won't be showing how to setup the advanced board until the end of the series. Either choice is a good one, I'm using both with my models and it's been working brilliantly. В этом видео я собрал наиболее часто встречающиеся ошибки и недопонимания этого автопилота. This is not my usual kind of video. And to be honest, a video that I didn't expect to have needed to make, and am disappointed to have had to. Don't worry, my normal schedule of RC videos will not be effected by this (hopefully) on-off distraction. TL;DW, accusations were made regarding Marc Hoffman, myself, and the INAV Fixed Wing Group. This was totally false, made by someone who has never been in the group. We felt the need to address this, and correct this misinformation. The INAV Fixed Wing Group has only ever been about helping fellow pilots with INAV and RC planes. Support my work 🤍 This is probably the first ever successful RTH and Land on Fixed Wing under control of INAV. Up to INAV 1.7, fixed wing was either not landing, or landing with too much descend speed. Just take a look here: 🤍 After latest code changes, automated landing is finally possible. Not pretty, kind of dangerous, but at least possible. This is experimental build of upcoming INAV 1.7.1 Update: right now, automated landing on RTH is default behavior of INAV. Landing just happend autoimatically on each Return to Home or Failsafe even with RTH procedure in place
